I Need Your Loving Like the Sunshine

I am a big fan of the BBC, the UK's public broadcaster. The PBS station where I live airs several British programs, including Life on Mars, MI-5 (Spooks), and Ashes to Ashes. On the last program, it's set in circumstances similar to Life on Mars, the only difference given is that it is set in 1980's London, using tidbits of culture from the time, including music, television video, and items.

And while procrastinating back in January, I was watching Ashes to Ashes while building a body and while the end credits rolled, the song featured came on.

So from Korgis' 1980 album Dumb Waiters, here is "Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime."
Change your heart/ Look around you.
Change your heart/ It will astound you.

I Call You Out!

I'm a big fan of alternative rock/indie music and bands. A friend describes it as a hipster thing, but I just say I have smorgasbord ("slutty") mindset to my music. In addition, lyrics really don't mean a thing; I'm all about the melody and rhythm on a track. That's one reason why I love this song.

I featured fun. last week with their song "We Are Young" but with this feature, we see a young(er) Nathaniel Ruess (the lead singer) wearing hipster rags... something he's gladly outgrown.*

From 2009 (and a 26-year-old Mr. Ruess), off fun.'s first album, "All The Pretty Girls."
All the pretty girls on a Saturday night!

And Then The Cold Came...

I woke up about 45 minutes ago and I went straight into the shower. After washing and rinsing and brushing, this Bruno Mars song came on the popular station and I changed it. When I landed on a contemporary station, this subdued song came on, talking about going back to December.

Nothing like listening to a sad song while you're drying off. Ouch

From her 2010 album Speak Now, here is Taylor Swift's "Back to December."
I go back to December all the time.

"Me GUSTA" (50th Archenemy Post!)

It doesn't matter how I found this song. It just matters that I found it. Thanks, Mr. Rodriguez.
(This is also the 50th entry... YAY!)
From Karmin, here is "Brokenhearted."

Pat me up, pat me down, turn me inside-out!
Anything you wanna do, I'll be on it too!
