Felt So Lonely In Your Company

My younger brother and I rarely ever meet eye-to-eye when it comes to music. He loves the whole screamo sub-genre of punk rock and I'm more indie and light rock. This morning though, he asked me to download a song that he heard that interested him. I listened to it... and intrigued me, too. A thing a in common between brothers... one of those brotherly moments.

For this very CHILL Saturday morning (2.20 AM CDT), here is Gotye with their song "Somebody That I Used To Know" featuring Kimbra.
She didn't have to cut me off!
Make out like it never happened!

¡Te Daré el Pescado! ¡Te Daré Caramelos!

I'm always on the search on things to listen to, from stupid Europop to idiotic Argentinean rap. American rock is always something that I'm keen to find, as a '90s child, this was a decade or so before my birth. And as always, I love to share what I find with an audience. So let's sit back, light a joint* and let the color streaks engulf us.

From the American band B-52s, here is their songs "Give Me Back My Man," "Private Idaho," and "Roam."
I'll give you everything I have in my hands!
Underground like a wild potato!
Around the world, the trip begins with a kiss!

I am the King of the Divan!

I know it's only Wednesday, but I figure we should have a better week ahead. With this, is another god-awful trip to the '80s, although you've probably heard this one if you've ever watched National Lampoon's European Vacation or Eurotrip (2004). It's just something that sounds good... but absolutely makes no sense whatsoever.

From Plastic Bertrand, from his 1977 album An 1, here is "Ça Plane Pour Moi."*
Ou j'ai eu un flash/ Oooo-oooo~!/ En quatre couleurs.

I See You and Me!

Everybody hates Monday. But I love Mondays when they're part of a four-day weekend, thanks to an almost non-existent snowfall and/or bad weather. On that note, my dad, nephew and I went out for lunch, along with running some errands. On the way to the bank, I heard this song and I just jammed to it. I hope you do too, 'cause this is song is #1 on my list of Foster the People list.

For this lazy Monday afternoon, here is Foster the People with "Don't Stop (Color On the Walls)" featuring Gabourey Sidibe from Precious fame. Love her role in this.
I run, they run, everyone run run!

I Fucking Love You!

If there's something I'm not good at, it's at telling jokes. Usually, it cracks me up while I'm telling it so by the time I get it out, it's usually ruined. That also goes to April Fool's jokes. It was my first with both blogs and I tried very late in the day. Can't blame a person for trying.

From a failed April Fool's joke, we have Dallas, Texas-based "greaser punk rock" band, Spector 45, with their 2009 song, "I Love You."
I see you walking by, almost everyday. And I'm not really too sure what it is I should say!

NOTE: THIS SONG CONTAINS COURSE LANGUAGE.

The Old Ways

It's been a slow week by-far. Haven't heard any great music to post, although here is some filler that's actually interested me over this past week. The body builders all turn out to be attracted to each other.

For our Easter Sunday, here is Olivia Newton-John's 1981 hit single "Physical"
and Vanilla Ice's 1989 hit, "Ice Ice Baby."
Let's get animal!
My town... recreated the bass sound!
