Even White Boys Got to Shout...!

I've been hearing this song more and more often. It's either that or I need to cut back on the showers. This brings back a conversation a friend and I had a few months ago about someone's butt. (That link is not who I was talking about-- but their butt was great, too). "It's a great butt," I remember telling her. (wink
Enough talking about asses.

From Sir Mix-a-Lot's 1992 album,
Mack Daddy, "Baby Got Back."
Oh baby, I wanna get with ya'/ And take your picture
My homeboys tried to warn me/ But that butt you got makes me so horny.

You and Me

Shower is where my inspiration lies. After missing school today and getting over that nausea and headache, there was an award ceremony this yesterday evening for top students in my school district. While showering, I was washing my hair (or whatever is left, anyway), and this sounded familiar.

From it's 1996 album Tragic Kingdom, here is No Doubt's "Don't Speak."
I really feel that I'm losing my best friend/ I can't believe this could be the end.

Head Over Heels...!

As I wrote two weeks ago, I love British television programmes. One of those being Ashes to Ashes. As happens to many shows, this one came to end this past Saturday. I could have seen it Thursday night, but I decided to view its encore showing on Saturday instead. In a two-part episode, we learn what the world the officers live in means, how they got there, and who the grossly disfigured figure haunting Alex is.

While in her apartment with Hunt, she pops in a tape and this quintessential romantic song comes on, reminding us it's 1983.

From their 1983 album True, here is "True" from Spandau Ballet.
This is the sound of soul!
